Description
The Payroll Associate at Our company is a crucial team member responsible for supporting various payroll projects and driving process improvements. This position requires significant cross-functional collaboration and offers the chance to work on diverse initiatives within the HR group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Payroll Projects: Assist in a variety of payroll projects and process enhancement initiatives. This includes working on both ongoing and new projects to improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Cross-Functional Initiatives: Participate in and support cross-functional projects within HR. Collaborate with various departments to integrate payroll processes seamlessly across the organization.
- Special Projects Resource: Serve as a valuable resource for payroll special projects across HR groups. Provide expertise, support, and guidance on complex payroll issues, ensuring alignment with overall HR goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and evaluate data for the conversion from ADP to Workday. Ensure data integrity, identify discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to facilitate a smooth transition.
- Issue Escalation: Proactively address issues and risks by escalating them to the appropriate team members and management. Identify potential problems early and communicate them effectively to prevent disruptions.
- Status Communication: Regularly update team members and management on project status and challenges. Prepare reports, updates, and presentations to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
Qualifications
- Education: A BS in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: We welcome candidates with 0-3 years of experience supporting payroll implementations or conversions in the US.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills are important for building strong working relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge: Understanding of payroll and HR processes, policies, and procedures is necessary. Familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices is beneficial.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects is key. Being highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented is essential.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, prioritize requests, adapt well to change, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality: Must be able to handle confidential information and issues effectively and without breach of confidentiality. Maintaining the privacy and security of sensitive payroll data is critical.
- Technical Knowledge: Payroll/human resource business knowledge, in-depth ADP and/or Workday knowledge, and system conversion or upgrade experience are essential for success in this role.
