As a Procurement Executive, your main role is to source top-notch ingredients and spices directly from local markets. You’re the backbone of our spice inventory, ensuring it meets our strict quality standards. These ingredients must not only meet our high benchmarks but also fulfill our specific needs. On top of that, you’ll handle purchase orders and keep communication smooth with vendors, supporting our maintenance and other departments along the way.
Things you will be doing as a Procurement Executive:
1. Proactively engage with global spice suppliers, wholesalers, and traders to expand sourcing networks.
2. Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations to ensure spice quality aligns with company standards
3. Collaborate with logistics for optimal spice handling, storage, and transit from markets to production
4. Keep meticulous records of market transactions, contracts, and essential sourcing documents
5. Regularly visit markets to enhance sourcing strategies and supplier insights
6. Adhere to industry norms, safety protocols, and ethical sourcing guidelines
7. Cultivate robust partnerships with suppliers for a reliable spice supply chain
8. Work closely with the quality control department to maintain high standards for spice safety and quality.
9. Serve as the primary contact for internal departments regarding their material requisitions
What are we looking for in you?
1. A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field from a reputable local or foreign Institute
2. A minimum 2 years relevant experience in procurement within FMCG / Food Sector
